"the nicest and the sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple pleasure, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."

Cruisin' on a Sunday afternoon...

...really, couldn't get away too soon.
who remembers
the
young rascal's?

my guys
river's up
bridge over troubled water
(whoops, wrong song)
how about some lunch?
what's your sign?
too many arms for one person.
the infamous blue building.

busy week coming up
looking for light, grace and peace
hoping
you all find the same.
happy, happy all.

  10. I especially love the quote under your header.

I recognize the blue building, can't miss it when we drive that way, which is often enough.

This looks like a day pleasantly spent, with loved ones.

  11. Joanne honey I am so glad you got out for a Sunday cruise. I miss those myself.
So glad I came by today and I always love it when you visit me.
I am still having computer issues so I am at the library this afternoon trying to catch up with a few blogging buddies.
Hope your having a good week and finding the peace you need and deserve.
    Love you my friend

  12. So glad you visited me and that triggered me to visit you! My summer is going OK - way too fast. Ron's doing OK and hasn't been back in the hospital lately. He had cataract surgery on both eyes and those are doing OK, too.

Sorry I haven't been around lately. Life has just been hectic!

  13. Hi Joanne Sweetie...
What a wonderful post. Yes, I remember Cruisin on a Sunday afternoon, what a great song, just the best to be rollin down the highway to. Love it and thank you for taking me there this evening.

What a great shot, the one with all the arms, and the camera view. Love it. I also love the blue glass in the building. Absolutely awesome capture. Don't you just love that when we get that perfect one?

Thank you for popping by and the sentiments for Bruiser, my beautiful Handsome. He has left a very empty hole in my heart right now. I miss so many things about him. I am thankful for the 13 years together, but it is never enough time with our beloved critters.

Have a glorious weekend sweet friend. I will be a better blogger and start posting and visiting more. Country hugs and much love, Sherry
