"the nicest and the sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple pleasure, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."

Where are you Christmas?

" Why can't I find you, why have you gone away?
Where is the laughter you used to bring me?
Why can't I hear the music play?
My world is changing, I'm rearranging
Does that mean Christmas changes too?"

  1. I ALWAYS have trouble finding Christmas... the commercialism turns me off... I love getting things for people and giving to them and I love getting too but, when halloween has not rolled around yet and christmas stuff is filling the isles it makes me nuts and I have a hard time shaking it... this year is particularly hard probably due to tighter funds...hummm just realised that could be part of my scrooge attitude this year!

  4. Christmas is in your heart. Had it not been for my daughter, I would not have found it this year. When they were here for Thanksgiving, she just took it on herself to start decorating for me, and MADE me find a little spirit. I don't have any money to spend, but that's not the spirit anyway. It's celebrating our savior, our family and what we do have. Jojo, I love you dearly. Having found you, is my Christmas present this year.
Christmas is there, not lost, you just have to let it come out.

  5. Don't give up. It's there.

And there's a lot of it around here, too.
