"the nicest and the sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple pleasure, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."

learn from me people...

...heed my word.  Don't be the g'ma who leaves the house for an important, very important, event and doesn't change out the batteries in the camera or bring extras with her.  Don't be the DIL who forgets her camera all together and has the crappiest phone known to mankind and can't take pictures.  And for all that is holy don't be the g'ma who has an old lady cell phone that won't even take pictures.  Otherwise you may end up with the following montage of photos from your grandgirls first tea party, taken with the so called dying batteries.  Enjoy!

for those who don't know (me) this would be the Princess from "Frozen,"  perhaps that is why she looks so darn cold....brrrr.  Apparently she was upset with her sister and put a spell on her causing all the land to freeze over. That is her sister there in the background.
This was the sister/narrator.  She had on the pretty dress that flowed when she moved, very impressive.
This is our little princess with her mommy listening very intently to the story.  Either that or she is sleepy from eating a cake pop or because she is Cinderella...who knows?
this photo shows the back of our little darlings head notice the boy next to her is dressed as a prince/super hero.  Hey if you are the only boy at a Princess tea be sure to cover all your bases!

all the princess' taking turns dancing with the prince.

 the official Princess portrait.

we will be getting a copy of the official princess portrait in the mail soon so we will be able to share some better photos.  As for the day itself all I can really say is that the anticipation was much more exciting than the real thing.  The gals/guy did a great job putting on the program, singing and dancing but the rest was a little disappointing.  Not even any tea...darn.  I am sure it is something Maude will remember and talk about as she gets older.  Being three she was one of the youngest ones there.  Still, she managed a smile and you have no idea what an effort that is!

Enjoy putting on your dress clothes and doing a little dancing...be spontaneous.
