"the nicest and the sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple pleasure, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."

questions...questions..

...hands up, waving, pick me, pick me, I have a question.

After hours upon hours of looking for my blog I think I finally found it.  Where it was all this time I have no idea.  But what I want to know is can you see me?  can you comment?  And can you tell me where have all the bloggers gone??  I used to spend hours reading the blogs I follow and all of a sudden it seems hardly anyone is posting.  Is it me or is blogging gone by the wayside??

Help me.

  1. I can see you, Joanne. I just got back online myself-my stupid internet was down. I think people are so involved in Pinterest and FB that blogging has taken a dive lately. What a shame. It is sure not the same as it was when I first started blogging and that has only been 3-1/2 years ago. I miss the "old days". xoDiana

  2. Not sure about the blogs you follow; but I also know Blogger has its issues.
Some people are updating less. One that I follow had a 'puter die. So many things going on that there is no way of telling what is going on.
    I doubt it's you, though. *hugs* ♥

    1. I meant to say no way of telling what is happening to the blogs. ;-)

  3. It does seem like blogging is undergoing a change. I'm not in the mainstream of big bloggers posting lots and earning bucks, then I realize I don't want to be in the mainstream. I just want to follow my heart, post when I'd like, and enjoy my blogging friends. Like you!

  4. I haven't blogged anything original in a long time. I agree, I wonder what happened to all my favorites? The only ones on now are political, and I'm TIRED of Obamacare, or the lack, thereof! I still have all the 'blog' address in my 'feedly' reader, so I do see it when a new one is published. I think we are all just tired of it all. I remember when our lives had a lot to be grateful for! I miss the 'good old days', too!

  5. Joanne, Thank you for visiting my site. I just read your profile...you like To Kill A Mockingbird...my favorite book...because it was my first book to own. I am blogging on an old quirky computer and believe me, I am not good on computers at all. so there's so many things I can't do on them. I do think people like pictures, and not too long a post. Good luck, I'll follow....but mind you, you'll be on my favorites list...I don't know how to add names to my side bar. :):) xoxo,Susie

  6. Hi Joanne. I agree that Blogger is changing, it appears anyway. Both our blogs here are getting maybe half the comments as before and a lot of my 'old followers' are posting less or not at all. I have only been blogging for a few years so maybe I haven't been around to see if this is a normal 'phase' in the blogging world or not. But I agree there is a change in involvement going on it appears.
I'm still going to post and I hope you do too.

  7. I think FB and instagram has something to do with it. I am even thinking of doing more FB than I have in the past because it's so much easier than putting a blog post up. But I sure love the personal feeling of blogging the best. It's like having friends over, only you don't have to clean your house :))) I don't post nearly as much as I would like but things have changed somewhat here at home since Dale retired and Landon's requiring more time too. But...I still love blogging when I can and following you around.
    much love...

  8. I haven't noticed because I've been so busy, too. But I'm still here, and will stay here :)

  9. I've hit a hard spot with the Blog. Can't seem to find anything worthwhile. Plus, with the BIG day just 38 days away, I have no time for anything except emulating one of Santa's little helpers.

  10. I have noticed that I have been laxed in my posting. I will be better now as the cold is finally gone.
