"the nicest and the sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple pleasure, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."

sing a song of joy...

...JOY...
noun; the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying; keen pleasure; elation.

last week my sweet sunshine came over for a visit and brought her daddy with her.  While we spent the afternoon outside enjoying the sunny day, (yeah!), Maude became mesmerised by the wind chimes, which were very gently swaying in a slight breeze.  As she leaned back in her daddy's arms trying to catch them she could be heard  "singing."  It was the most beautiful, joyful music I have ever heard!

May your day be blessed with the kind of joy and happiness that can only come when we open our hearts and listen to the music that lives in all of us.

  3. Sunshine--is the perfect name ofor Maude! I'm with my grandkids, and although they get noisier in a different way at 5 and 7--they're joyful noises and joyous children! Nothing is as sweet--well quite as sweet as our sunshines, our only sunshines...they make us happy....and you know the rest of that tune!

  4. Those special, sweet moments are such wonderful gifts aren't they? It's great to have them with the Grandkiddos where we have the time to really enjoy them. I think when I was raising my own kids I was often so busy that I didn't always have the time to really appreciate them at that age! She's adorable.
