"the nicest and the sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple pleasure, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."

Just in case...

..you all thought I was here, rocking the newborn girl, drunk on sweet baby love, walking on sunshine...I'M NOT!

The sweet little dumpling is still happily ensconced at  Chateau Mommy.  They have tried all the proven methods of starting labour...spicy food, lots of activity, motivational speeches...that girl has a mind of her own!

Induction on Monday if nothing happens sooner...

  1. This baby just doesn't want to budge! Who would really?! So nice and warm and cozy and....ok I'll stop.
This waiting must be very unnerving.

  3. 99% of the time, back in the olden days before the ability to see into the 'private room' of the babies people always use to say it must be gonna be a boy if mom was past due... It always takes longer to bake a boy than a girl, don't 'cha know... but, hey, little girls like all the attention and does she ever have everyone's attention.

I'll just keep praying for momma and baby and you! We all want everyone safe and healthy.

    Hugs...

  12. My first born was two weeks late, but he turned out to be the sweetest of the lot (of four)! I'm sure she's just relishing the last few days of cozy comfort before coming out into the cold of winter!

Great good luck to the entire family. We can't wait to rejoice with you!

  19. Onion soup. Works every time. It causes gas, which causes Mommy to bear down, which causes labor. It works every time...!

    Please keep us posted, JoJo.

  22. Our Grandson was born back in August and I can so relate to the wait you are going through now, he took his sweet time, I think he was just waiting for July to pass.

Keep us informed, looking forward to hearing the Grand news.
