Who are you...who, who...who, who...

...it's Springtime and everything is budding and blooming, so I was thinking this would be a good time for a give-away. Are you game?

I saw this on another blog a few weeks ago and had the best time reading the answers.  After getting the o.k. and tweaking it just a bit to make it my own I thought I would see "who" y'all are.  I mean really, how well do you know yourself and how easy would it be to describe that to someone else?

First things first though.  There will be a lovely give-away but at this point in time I can't say what that will be, it all depends on who wins.  Contest is open until May 1st at 7pm at which time my personal number generator will choose a random winner.  You do not have to be a follower but if you'd like to add your name to the list that would be welcome.  There are no other rules...that's right...none.  Here we go:

O.K., there is a rule:  you MUST follow my lead and give your answers as in my example but using your own imagination.

Nickname:  Jojo
type of fruit you are:
 very round, over-ripe pear.  (those   age spots are showing).
hair color:
 strawberry blonde with streaks of white.  (again with the age thing.)
real age:  56
wish age/why:
 35~~I was healthy and in good shape.
color you would never wear:  yellow, don't ask.
favorite color: aqua
where are you in the birth order:
2nd of 4 children, eldest daughter.
other:
Independent, creative, passionate, collector of all things, coffee-drinking, junk store junkie on the best ride of her life.

See, that was easy but I am sure you can all come up with some really creative answers...so c'mon...make me laugh!

~~~Love is stronger than death~~~
It's been a tough week in blogland.  Such a huge and confusing loss.  Hearts are broken, dreams shattered, and we are left to wonder, what remains?
Hallie, John and Connor~~these words have meant so much to me in my times of grief.  I hope somehow you hear them...I pray you find grace and peace.
"in our lives we hunger for those we cannot touch.
all the thoughts unuttered, all the feelings unexpressed
play upon our hearts like the mist upon our breath.
but, awoken by grief, our spirits speak
'how could you believe that the life within the seed
that grew arms that reached
and a heart that beat
and lips that smiled
and eyes that cried
could ever die?'
here comes the blue sky
here comes springtime
when the rivers run high and the tears never dry.
when everything that dies
shall rise.
lovelovelove is stronger than death."
(lyrics by Matt Johnson
after the death of his brother.)
Peace to you little one~
Monday's **snap**...
...where one snapshot says a thousand words about my weekend!
it's planting time at my house...finally.  I have decided to plant Dahlia bulbs tubers this year.  Usually, I buy them in pots, from the nursery in July, when they are already mature and blooming.  Not this year baby,  we're starting from scratch.  I've cleared out a few rose bushes that were brown and crispy from outside my dining room window, and am going to have a Dahilia garden there.
Then there are the wildflower 'mats.'  Have you ever tried these?  They are about 10ft long and saturated with wildflower seeds.  You roll them out, or cut them to fit a planter etc, put them down on the ground and water.  Viola...in a few weeks...beautiful wildflowers.  I'm trying the butterfly garden this year.
The crate was a 'find' about twenty years ago.  I can't remember where I had it all these years but I just came across it and decided to clean it up.  It's a "Pepsi" crate with lots of little bottle compartments.
So, here is where all you creative types get to put on your thinking caps and give me some ideas on what I should do with this crate.  ??  Also, I will be posting something fun at the end of the week and it will include a prize...are you game?
A day late...
...and $15 short.  How did that happen and where have I been?
I missed White Wednesday this week at Faded Charm because I thought today was Tuesday.  I was frantically busy getting my 'whites' together and taking the photos and, oh well, here's a preview of next weeks pretties:
Since I thought it was Tuesday I got myself all prettied up dressed and took off for my doctors appointment...without my co-pay.  No problem though since the appointment is next Tuesday!
I've been watching a new show on TLC called "Hoarders," and I must say I am getting quite concerned.  On tonite's episode 'Cindy,' who is a ringer for the old Roseanne, is a compulsive shopper which has led to her hoarding problems.  People of the world:  I am {} this far away from being profiled on that show.  I have diagnosed myself with a serious compulsive shopping addiction especially in thrift/antique stores.  OMGosh!  I'm going to call it SAETS.  Apparently the 'high' is in the shopping and the thrill of finding that certain thing that you must have but don't know it until you see it.  Are you affected too?
On a more serious note I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for your comments, support, good thoughts and prayers for the hubs.  He is doing much better and has headed back to work where he belongs.  Oddly enough I have only left the house twice in the last ten days and that leaves little to blog about.  I'm workin' on it...really.
Has Spring sprung where you are?  And where are you?
Monday's **snap**...
 country living images
...I don't have a 'snap' from my weekend...sometimes things just don't work out the way you planned them.
We didn't have a family get-together, no celebration, no egg hunt, no Peeps or chocolate bunnies.  No ham and mashed potatoes, no dates/walnuts, no green-bean casserole or rolls, no coconut cake or sparkling wine.
What we did have was a celebration in our hearts.  The love and joy, the hope and renewal that only Easter can bring.  I hope you all had the beauty of the day whether it be in your heart or in your home.
The hubs was hurt at work Friday nite.  He will be fine but is on complete bed-rest, pain meds and heat-wraps.  He wrenched his back and neck and can not move his head from side-to-side, twist or turn in any way at all.  He's just plain miserable right now.  So I will be off for a few days here while I play nursie-nurse.  If you are so inclined to send good thoughts and prayers for us it would be greatly appreciated.  Take care peeps!
