"the nicest and the sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple pleasure, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."

Angel Flight...

...if you've got seven minutes watch this, you will never be the same.  If you don't have seven minutes watch this anyway, you really have no excuse.  Watch it, then get on your knees and say "Thank you."

pass it on:

  1. I'm sitting here with a huge lump in my throat Jojo. I'm so glad that you gave me this chance to hear this song. I can't get over the feelings it stirs in me. The gratitude and humility I feel for the heros of this nation. It would be an honor to fly these men home.
    Truly a sacred mission.
On a side note...it was wonderful to see Radney Foster was one of the writers and the one to sing it. I got to meet him last Summer when he came to headline in Hailey at our Northern Rockies Folk Festival. Our daughter is on the board that puts it together and also performs for it, so she got to take him fishing the day of the show. And then Kim's band sang just before he did, so he had her get up and sing with him that night too. It was great to see her there with such a great songwriter. Of course she was thrilled. And so was mom.

  2. I have listened this song dozens and dozens of times and I still cry so hard every time I listen. If anyone anywhere ever deserved such a stirring song written and sung in their honor it is our veterans. They deserve so much more than our country gives them. God Bless them all!

I will be heading to bed with stopped up sinuses and tear stains, but thank you for posting this. I love the song.

    Hugs

  3. I took the time to let the song load, and I'm so glad I did. I've never heard it before. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Thank you to all the military for their sacrifices for the freedoms we have in our wonderful country.

  4. Oh I had to watch it when I saw Darius on the front. Darius is great and I love his music. He is from Charleston where I am from and I have met him, and he is as great in person as you see him on TV. I loved Hootie and the Blowfish.
This is a great song. Made me sad but happy at the same time. Thanks for sharing it Jojo.
    Remember, ILY!!!

    God Bless~
