Dishes equal l.o.v.e...

...a few months ago, over at Brenda's place, I won a CSN stores give-away!  It was quite a large gift certificate ($70) and I didn't waste any time browsing and calculating how much and what I could purchase.  In the end I settled on some beautiful silver candle sticks...quite substantial I must say but I can't show you as I have them put away for a gift.

Earlier in August I found myself window shopping here and hoping that I could score win another CSN prize or at least have a give-away for my blog.  After talking with  Eileen, Promotions Rep. extraordinaire, we decided a review would be the best way to start.  O.K., I was psyched and once again found myself shopping...this time in their dinnerware department.

I decided to try a set of dishes for four.  I was looking for something that would be suitable for outdoors or in.  I wanted to be able to use it during the summer season and into fall.  Oh, did I mention that I am a dish-a-holic?  Love me some dishes, oh yeah, and I like to use different sets for each of the seasons.  (Doesn't everyone?)  After looking around for a second I knew which set I wanted to try, and then I looked some more just to be sure.  Within the week they were here...

and oh.my.gosh do I love them.  Aren't they just the cutest thing?  So in now with the Rooster design, and the colors, wow.  I thought it would merely be stained on color but it looks as if you can see brush strokes, almost as though they were hand painted.  Sweet!  Look at the bowls~~they can hold a nice hearty soup with no problem at all.  The mugs are a great size too, and microwaveable for those people like me who heat-up the same cup of coffee all day long, over and over.

Don't hesitate to check out CSN stores, it's more than cookware, in fact it's just about anything you can think of.  And a huge Thank You to CSN for letting me review one of their products and for being so very supportive of the blogging community.  I can't wait to see what happens next!

  1. I love your dishes. They look so laden with glaze. Gerry

  2. Love the colors. I had a set similar to those in our cabin. The cabin we sold along with all our other "toys" and our home to buy this kampground. The dishes were in the cabin....... they went with the cabin.......what was I thinking????????

  3. Going there! I want those! They will match my chicken kitchen!

  4. They are amazing I love stuff with chickens on its so homely.

  5. Are these colors like cobalt blue and bright yellow??? If so, I may have something to send to you if you love these colors. Let me know. Hugs. Tammy

  6. Oh my goodness Jojo, I absolutely love those!! My kitchen is done with those colors and roosters. I dare not even look at them, as I could never afford them. We sure have the same taste. Nice choose!!!

  7. hey jojo,
I love dishes too, the rooster set is beautiful. I use different dishes for different seasons too and have Christmas ones I drag out for the whole month of December. Now I have to go check out CSN, see what you started?

  8. I love the set!! Beautiful colours. I have had the same set for years...square plates and a brown colour. You have inspired me to get out there and source myself some fancy, colourful dishes!!

  9. Those are beautiful dishes! I love new dishes, too but with Ron's "hand" issues (and strength issues) we can only use light-weight dishes. I'd love to have some really cool ones, but it is what it is...

  10. I am a dishaholic also, or maybe I have become one since I started blogging. I see so many great table settings and I love the dishes you shared. The design and colors are beautiful. I won a CSN giveaway a while back and I just love all of the things they have to offer.

comments, comments, comments! If you've got 'em share 'em. If you are a no comment blogger I will try to answer back on this post. If you are...expect a personal reply from me! Cheers, and please mind those manners.
