White Wednesday...

...a few years ago, at Christmas time, my son gave me a beautiful vintage box from Frederick and Nelson, dated 1951.  Inside were several ladies hankerchiefs, carefully cleaned and pressed.  Most of them had white backrounds with flowers and embroidery, the rest were art deco.  I found that I loved to display them in vases...

and just for fun; this little cutie that I found recently at the thrift store for 59cents!

I am joining Kathleen at Faded Charm for White Wednesday.  Head on over there and check out all the beautiful whites for this week.  Take care y'all.

  11. My Grandmom, who I share a name with used to tat the trim on her little handkerchiefs. My big sister framed a piece of tatting that she had worked on before she died along with a hankie and a lovely tribute and presented it to me for my 50th birthday present.

  12. Very beautiful hankies. I like to collect them too but never could come with an idea on how to display them. Thank you for your picutres to show us how you do it.

Right now I have my door in my living room propped up on a wall. I also have a vintage slip on a hanger on it...however, anyone who has came over has asked why I have a slip in my living room. I am thinking it is not working too well in there! Let me know what you end up doing with yours! XOXO!
