Monday's **snap**...

 country living images

...I don't have a 'snap' from my weekend...sometimes things just don't work out the way you planned them.

We didn't have a family get-together, no celebration, no egg hunt, no Peeps or chocolate bunnies.  No ham and mashed potatoes, no dates/walnuts, no green-bean casserole or rolls, no coconut cake or sparkling wine.

What we did have was a celebration in our hearts.  The love and joy, the hope and renewal that only Easter can bring.  I hope you all had the beauty of the day whether it be in your heart or in your home.

The hubs was hurt at work Friday nite.  He will be fine but is on complete bed-rest, pain meds and heat-wraps.  He wrenched his back and neck and can not move his head from side-to-side, twist or turn in any way at all.  He's just plain miserable right now.  So I will be off for a few days here while I play nursie-nurse.  If you are so inclined to send good thoughts and prayers for us it would be greatly appreciated.  Take care peeps!

  1. I hope your husband is on the mend soon. Back pain is bad enough, but I think neck pain is the worst! Poor guy. I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. I would rather have a sick child than a sick husband.....what am I saying, it is the same thing!

  2. Jojo you and your husband will definitely be in my prayers. I hope that he is able to heal quickly from his injury. We had the same Easter you did it sounds like. No dinner, no family to visit, and Landon has been very sick for two days with a bad infection. But I actually needed this quiet day.
Take good care of hubs and yourself Jojo, and have a great week. I won't be around a computer much for a few days, but will see you soon.

  3. My Dear Jojo,

We had a very quiet and wintry Easter. None of the usual get-together fanfare . . . and yet I loved it! Granted no one here needed bedrest (though naps were indulged in) or pain meds (do spoonfuls of home-made ice cream count? Nah, but it sure soothes a lot without an rx).

You will both remain in my prayers (my husband is a TERRIBLE patient . . . hope yours is better and gets better soon).

  4. I wish your husband a speedy recovery. It's not much fun when our loved ones are hurt, sick or feeling off sorts.
    Get better!

  6. I hope he gets better soon!

We went to church...lovely service, good sermon, went back to the kid's home and ate, and then headed home. There is no place like home!

We had a great time with them, though.

  9. I received in the mail yesterday a very
special spring gift. It was from such a special lady. Thank you so much Jojo, for your thoughtfulness. It could not have come at a better time. Yesterday was my deceased sister's birthday and I was pretty bumbed and that cheered me up so much. You are a angel, and I love you. Also day I had a day full of medical tests at the hospital, so your gift was so timely. Thanks Jojo. I hope that your hubby is doing better. Back pain is no fun. I am sure you know that as well as I do. Neuropathy and other not so nice things in the back hurts! Remember while you are nursing him, to take care of yourself also.

    God Bless~

  18. Jojo ~ Sorry I am so late here ... hope your hubby is doing better now & heals quickly. Prayers are lifting for you both.

We had an early after Mass brunch that I cooked & the kids loved it. The rest of the day was very quiet & enjoyable.

    Have a beautiful week.

  19. Oh JoJo, I am so sorry that your husband has been suffering. I do hope that he is feeling better and that he is able to do a bit more. I know how long it can take to heal from these things and it is never easy.

We had a quiet Passover, too. I just couldn't gear myself up to do the whole seder thing this year, and I couldn't get my older girls home at the same time to have one all together.

Thanks for the sweet comment you just left for me. It made me smile. You are such an angel, dear one.

    Love,
    Deb
