"the nicest and the sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple pleasure, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."

Look what I did!!!!!

I finally, finally, finally, figured out how to add a picture to my posts! Wow, how exciting is that?
This is a picture from our recent trip to Texas. It is the former president Lyndon B. Johnson ranch. What an informative, fun, trip back in time the day we visited. It was as if nothing had changed in the last fifty years. His ranch is huge, surrounded by wild flowers, thanks to Lady Bird Johnson. It has rivers running through it, it's own airport, it's own cemetary, and even the cars they drove during the '60s. In the garage, surrounded by glass, was an amphibius car that the president used to drive around the ranch, through the rivers and racing down the runways! There is also the orignal homestead on the property that you can tour. It was quite lovely and well preserved. Lots of trees, immaculate surroundings, and birds chirping everywhere. I swear you could "feel" all the happy times that took place there over the years.
I'll be adding more pics soon, and hopefull i'll get out of this "funk" i'm in and start blogging more often. We have a wedding coming up and there is so much to do and share. I can't wait.
